Recap: Christian Family Educators vs. Weskan Coyotes
Christian Family Educators couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 56-17 defeat at the hands of Weskan on Monday. Christian Family Educators was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-9.
Weskan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Aldridge out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Aldridge pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Cottrell, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Christian Family Educators' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Weskan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Christian Family Educators does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Weskan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bethune at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
