Softball Recap: Lytle Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somerset, Lytle was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bandera BULLDOGS, sneaking past 8-6. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the BULLDOGS recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Marley Macias, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Macias is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Anissa Perez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Lytle now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Bandera, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Lytle will venture away from home to square off against Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bandera, they will take on Blanco in a tournament on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the BULLDOGS will no doubt try to take advantage of.
