Football Game Preview: Scott Skyhawks vs. Mingo Central Miners

The Scott Skyhawks will square off against the Mingo Central Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On September 12th, Scott strolled past Sissonville with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. The win continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mingo Central). They claimed a resounding 58-7 victory over Wyoming East. With the Miners ahead 30-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Scott better keep an eye on Bam Coleman. He was instrumental in Mingo Central's win, rushing for 143 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. With that strong performance, Coleman is now averaging an impressive 105 rushing yards per game. Keziah Joplin also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Mingo Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Scott, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
