Softball Recap: West Franklin Comes Up Short

West Franklin couldn't beat Osage City on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Falcons came up short against the Indians, falling 20-10. The Falcons have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Amelia Nichols stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those hits were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Berkley Love, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

West Franklin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Osage City, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-11.

While West Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
