Baseball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Has No Trouble Against Point Loma

Cathedral Catholic barely beat Point Loma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dons were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Pointers on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Pointers: they've now won four in a row.

Trey Kotsay was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trey Gudoy, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cathedral Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Cathedral Catholic's record now sits at 17-10. As for Point Loma, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11-1.

As of now, neither Cathedral Catholic nor the Pointers have any future games scheduled.
