Soccer Game Preview: Community School of Davidson vs. Lake Norman Charter

The Community School of Davidson Spartans are taking a road trip to challenge the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Community School of Davidson didn't have quite enough to beat Pine Lake Prep and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln Charter on Wednesday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Lake Norman Charter have lost by just one goal.

Shreyas Polishetty and Jayce Ferris scored both of Lake Norman Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Lake Norman Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Community School of Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Community School of Davidson took their victory against Lake Norman Charter when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
