Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart lost against Santa Fe back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gremlins fell 3-1 to the Chiefs. The Gremlins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Sacred Heart ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 20-25, 25-19.

Addison Figge paced Sacred Heart's offense, picking up 12 kills. Figge got some help from Ava Judd and her 20 assists. Finally, Molly Brown kept Sacred Heart's defense grounded, leading the team with ten blocks.

Leading Santa Fe to victory were Mia Lark and Keastin Kitchen. Lark had 19 digs and one assist, while Kitchen had three aces. That's the most digs Lark has posted over her last seven contests.

Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Santa Fe, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6-2 record this season.

Sacred Heart will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe, they will welcome St. Paul Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
