Volleyball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

Vista del Lago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Woodcrest Christian Royals. The Ravens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15.

Woodcrest Christian found their leader in freshman Aiden Ahlberg, who had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Ahlberg.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Woodcrest Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Vista del Lago has already played their next contest (against Norco), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Woodcrest Christian, they will face off against Ontario Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Ontario Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
