Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Faith Baptist

Bethany Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Baptist Eagle. The defeat continues a trend for Bethany Christian in their matchups with Faith Baptist: they've now lost six in a row.

Leading Faith Baptist to victory were Bailey Burton and Alyssa Ahrens. Burton dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds, while Ahrens to rack up 24 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those 24 points gave Ahrens a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrea Cunningham, who posted 11 points.

Bethany Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Faith Baptist, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
