Atlantic Christian won the last time they faced The Pilgrim Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Carter Knuth made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Adam Schlundt and Luke Odell did most of the damage at the plate: Schlundt went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and four runs, while Odell got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave Odell a new career-high. Ethan Costello was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Atlantic Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for The Pilgrim Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Atlantic Christian has already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against Lower Cape May on the 21st. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they will square off against Calvary Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
