Baseball Recap: Appalachian Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Appalachian had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Pennington Tigers. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly ten runs.

Reid Murphree was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Logan Harvey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Appalachian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
