Soccer Game Preview: Fox Valley Lutheran vs. New Holstein

The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes will take on the New Holstein Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fox Valley Lutheran has six straight wins, New Holstein has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Fox Valley Lutheran's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Seymour as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering Fox Valley Lutheran have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Seymour from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kaleb Williams led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for New Holstein's offense. They came up short against Kohler on Tuesday, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, New Holstein can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Kohler are ranked 87th).

New Holstein's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-2. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-1.
