Volleyball Recap: Eastern View Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Caroline on Tuesday, Eastern View came back down to earth. The Cyclones lost 3-0 to the Courtland Cougars on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Eastern View took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 26-24.

Olivia Denham paced Eastern View's offense, picking up four kills. Denham got some help from Lauren Denham and her four assists. Samantha Husch controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Eastern View's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Courtland, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern View will welcome Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Courtland, they will be playing at home against Massaponax at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
