Softball Game Preview: Watertown Arrows vs. Washington Warriors

Watertown hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Arrows will face off against the Warriors.

Watertown is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 10-0.

Watertown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynslee Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Washington entered their tilt with Stevens on Friday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 7-3.

Washington's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Watertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Watertown suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Washington when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Arrows avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
