Recap: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Mount Si Wildcats
It was a good run, but the Roosevelt Roughriders unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-38 walloping at the hands of Mount Si. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Roosevelt has suffered yet this season.
Roosevelt's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Washington, who scored eight points. Jackson Huntington was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Roosevelt's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3. As for Mount Si, their victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Roosevelt will take on Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Roosevelt is ranked 34th). Mount Si won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Creek at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. North Creek has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
