Basketball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 42-27 to the Central Heights Vikings.

Melaney Chrisjohn was nothing short of spectacular for Central Heights: she went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Chrisjohn a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Macy Cubit, who posted 12 points.

Northeast's record now sits at 2-7. As for Central Heights, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Northeast has already played their next game (against Galena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Heights will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Osawatomie at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
