Football Recap: Camas Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Camas faced Mount Tahoma in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Papermakers took a blow against the T-Birds, falling 49-22. The Papermakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-2.

Several Papermakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Barr, who picked up 102 receiving yards and three TDs. Another passer making a difference was Tyson Ruggiero, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Tahoma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikkah Cordero, who rushed for 45 yards and one score, and also threw for 150 yards and one TD on only nine passes. That's the most rushing yards Cordero has posted since back in October of 2024. Keshawn Hines was another key player, rushing for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Camas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mount Tahoma, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camas will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Tahoma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Si at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
