Soccer Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall lost against Warren back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Marshall Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Warriors are ranked 143rd).

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Warren, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

The future could be bright for both Marshall and Warren: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Marshall will look to extend Sotomayor's three-game losing streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Warren will try to hand Holmes their ninth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
