Charter Oak put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the West Covina Bulldogs 8-1. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Leila Diebert made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Mibella Huerta looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
