Baseball Recap: Murphysboro Comes Up Short

Murphysboro managed to slip by Goreville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Murphysboro lost 13-5 to Goreville on Saturday. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Reece Mileur was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Corbin Compardo was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Mileur wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Murphysboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
