Bear River took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Lincoln, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Bear River sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Lincoln on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ana Marin Hemings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

At the plate, Lily Fiddyment was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Taryn Cleek was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Fiddyment wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bear River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only managed six hits.
