Basketball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 74-60 fall against the Moore Mustangs. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Moore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern has already played their next match (against Fairdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Moore won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Male at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Male knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Moore likes a good challenge.
