Softball Recap: Kilgore Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Kilgore and Spring Hill have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Panthers, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-7 back in March.

Kilgore's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Spring Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11-1 record this season.

Kilgore will face off against Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Spring Hill, they will challenge Brook Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
