Basketball Game Preview: Asheville School (Independent) Blues vs. Daniel Lions

The Asheville School (Independent) Blues will take on the Daniel Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Asheville School (Independent) turned things around against York Prep on Wednesday. They blew past the Patriots 81-5. Given the Blues' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 55th in North Carolina, while the Patriots are ranked 230th in South Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Daniel over Blue Ridge in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Daniel was the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over Blue Ridge. With the Lions ahead 32-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The win was the fifth in a row for Daniel, bringing their record for this year to 13-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.4 points. As for Asheville School (Independent), their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
