Baseball Recap: Arvin Comes Up Short

Arvin extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-9. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Stars. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Roy Rosales was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Arvin: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, Christian Gomez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

As for North, they now have a winning record of 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 12, 2025.

On North's side, BENJAMIN HYATT looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on RILEY STONEBRAKER, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

While Arvin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
