Basketball Recap: South Forsyth Takes a Loss

South Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Chattahoochee Cougars, falling 79-55. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Cougars are ranked 130th).

South Forsyth's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10. As for Chattahoochee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Forsyth will square off against Alpharetta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alpharetta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully South Forsyth likes a good challenge. As for Chattahoochee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lanier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
