Basketball Recap: Vacaville Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Stockton Christian

It's playoff time, and Vacaville Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 69-55 victory over the Stockton Christian Eagles on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Taiyo Douglas had a dynamite game for Vacaville Christian, on his way to 24 points and five steals. Douglas is becoming a predictor of Vacaville Christian's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 10-2 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was William Mccarthy, who en route to 18 points and five rebounds.

Vacaville Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Stockton Christian lost, don't look at Jayden Chamblee. Despite the final result, he posted 29 points.

Vacaville Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Stockton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Looking ahead, Vacaville Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Sacramento Waldorf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
