Baseball Recap: Red Bay Wins Going Away Against Colbert Heights

Red Bay won the last time they faced Colbert Heights and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Red Bay Tigers' way against the Colbert Heights Wildcats as the Red Bay Tigers made off with a 14-2 win. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Red Bay got a massive performance out of Ty Reynolds, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs Reynolds has posted since back in March of 2024. Jeramiah Thorne was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Reynolds wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Red Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Red Bay's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-3. As for Colbert Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Red Bay will challenge Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colbert Heights, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Colbert Heights Wildcats duke it out with Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
