Football Recap: Fort Collins Skates Past Prairie View with Ease + How To Watch

While Fort Collins put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Prairie View. The Lambkins claimed a resounding 48-0 win over the Thunderhawks. Given the Lambkins' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 153rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Collins had a senior duo take command as Jack McKeon rushed for 140 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries and Justin Cranford threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Cranford's passing game has become a key predictor of the Lambkins' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Kyrei Kincaid also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.

Fort Collins was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Prairie View lost, don't look at Xzavier Medina. Despite the final result, he rushed for 259 yards on only 12 carries. Ondray Reed also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.

Fort Collins is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points over those games. As for Prairie View, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Fort Collins nor the Thunderhawks have any future games scheduled.
