Basketball Recap: Elliana Fox Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

After losing to Jac-Cen-Del the last time they met, Lawrenceburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lawrenceburg Tigers walked away with a 49-39 win over the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles on Wednesday. The Tigers pushed the score to 41-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrenceburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elliana Fox, who posted ten points. That's the most points Fox has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Aubree Labazzo, who earned nine points.

Despite the loss, Jac-Cen-Del still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Simon, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and six boards. Kellsie Bedel was another key player, putting up five points and six rebounds.

The victory got Lawrenceburg back to even at 7-7. As for Jac-Cen-Del, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Lawrenceburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-29 win against Switzerland County on the 17th. Jac-Cen-Del has also already played their next matchup, a 35-26 victory against Hauser on the 17th.
