Softball Recap: Bell Drops Season-High Score on Countryside Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell). They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Countryside Christian Minutemen on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now won three in a row.

Aurelia Darling made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lizzie Bagby, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dacy Graham, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Bell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bell's record is now 5-7. As for Countryside Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bell will square off against Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Countryside Christian, they will challenge First Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
