After losing to Lompoc the last time they met, Paso Robles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Bearcats made off with a 34-33 victory over the Braves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Paso Robles' win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blayne Lowry, who threw for 217 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Lowry also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Bearcats are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-5 otherwise. Another back making a difference was Kassim Williams, who rushed for 85 yards on only eight carries.

Paso Robles' run defense was locked in: Lompoc could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Leevi Stanko for the heroic effort on defense: he. Paso Robles didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Lompoc, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Paso Robles and Lompoc are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bearcats will square off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paso Robles will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Lompoc, they will take on Central Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
