Basketball Recap: City University School of Liberal Arts Find Success

City University School of Liberal Arts won the last time they faced Oakhaven, and Tyler Reliford did his part to make sure it happened again. City University School of Liberal Arts walked away with a 66-58 win over the Oakhaven Hawks on Tuesday thanks in part to Reliford, who went 9 for 18 en route to 22 points and five rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Oakhaven lost, don't look at Amari Spates. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Spates' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Derrick Betts was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory got City University School of Liberal Arts back to even at 7-7. As for Oakhaven, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

City University School of Liberal Arts wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-63 defeat against Kingsbury on the 15th. Oakhaven has also already played their next contest (against Westwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
