Softball Recap: Buckeye Valley Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Buckeye Valley had won three straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 14-4 to make it four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Franklin Heights Falcons a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Barons have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Franklin Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in March.

For Franklin Heights' part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKayla Lemon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lemon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Coming up, Buckeye Valley will be playing at home against Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Barons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silver Knights have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Franklin Heights, they are taking a road trip to take on London at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
