Basketball Recap: Conrad Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brevard Christian

Conrad Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 58-50 to the Brevard Christian War Eagles. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Brevard Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samuel Mitchell, who went 12 of 25 on his way to 28 points along with eight boards and four steals. Gabriel Mitchell was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Conrad Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Brevard Christian, their record is now 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conrad Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Geneva at 2:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Brevard Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Odyssey Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
