Whitmire never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against GREEN Upstate on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Owls. Considering the Wolverines have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Crue Keller was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Whitmire is 5-2 when Keller posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Vicars, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base.
Whitmire was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
