Basketball Game Preview: Hardin Hornets vs. Lumberton Raiders

Having just played yesterday, the Hardin Hornets will jump right back in to play the Lumberton Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Hardin saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 39-23 bruising from Navasota. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1150th, while the Rattlers are ranked 502nd).

Meanwhile, Lumberton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 47-24 margin over the Indians.

Lumberton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Hardin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
