Baseball Game Preview: Windham Eagles vs. Sanford Spartans

The Windham Eagles will take on the Sanford Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Windham will be strutting in after a victory while Sanford will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Windham needed a bit of extra time to put away Portland. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Bulldogs. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Ryan Manning was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Sullivan Nappi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Portland.

The victory got Windham back to even at 2-2. As for Sanford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
