Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee County). They blew past the Veterans Warhawks 48-3 on Friday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Warhawks are ranked 168th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lee County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Snipes led the charge by rushing for 74 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 126 yards and one touchdown. Those 74 rushing yards gave Snipes a new career-high. Jordan Bush was another key back, rushing for 88 yards and one score.

Lee County's run defense was locked in: Veterans could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Jaylon Carolina for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lee County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.3.

The win made it two in a row for Lee County and bumps their season record up to 6-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-6 Veterans and 3-4 Coffee. As for Veterans, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
