Football Recap: Crawford Runs Past Cody-Kilgore + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leyton, Crawford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 win over the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls. The Rams pushed the score to 39-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cowboys/Cowgirls cut but never quite recovered from.

Taylor Homan produced another solid effort throwing for 126 yards and five TDs on only 12 passes, while also catching one touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Cody Holmgren was in the mix as well, providing Crawford with two scores.

Crawford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Cody-Kilgore lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaden McNare, who picked up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 59 yards on only six carries. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards. Another player making a difference was Knox Wobig, who gained 60 total yards and two touchdowns.

The victory got Crawford back to even at 2-2. As for Cody-Kilgore, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Crawford has already played their next contest, a 64-58 win against Hay Springs on the 2nd. As for Cody-Kilgore, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-16 loss against Arthur County on the 3rd.
