Basketball Game Preview: Highland Prep Honey Badgers vs. Wickenburg Wranglers

The Highland Prep Honey Badgers will face off against the Wickenburg Wranglers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Highland Prep humbled River Valley with a 66-30 victory. The Honey Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 31 points or more this season.

Paxton Clarke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aeden Calini, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wickenburg came up short against Bagdad on Monday and fell 43-35.

Wickenburg's loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Highland Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
