While St. Louis HomeSchool P's victory against Chaminade wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. St. Louis HomeSchool P had just enough and edged out Chaminade 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-5 on Saturday.

Damien Hinze looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, St. Louis HomeSchool P's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Noah Parker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Logan Bates, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Louis HomeSchool P has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Chaminade is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Louis HomeSchool P will welcome Ste. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ste. Genevieve will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Louis HomeSchool P surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chaminade, they will host Liberty at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
