Recap: Pearl-Cohn Firebirds vs. LEAD Academy Panthers
The Pearl-Cohn Firebirds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 83-69 win over LEAD Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why LEAD Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Petway. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five assists. Petway has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Fields, who scored 14 points.
The victory got Pearl-Cohn back to even at 9-9. As for LEAD Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
Pearl-Cohn will head out on the road to square off against Station Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearl-Cohn will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Station Camp surely won't give up without a fight. LEAD Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
