League recap: Floyd Central stuns Madison in upset

Hoosier Hills recap September 10, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Madison, who took down 136th ranked Madison, 20-13. Colton Kimm threw for 177 yards and ran for 10 yards in the win.

Floyd Central scaled the state rankings by moving to 126 from 164 this week, the biggest jump in Hoosier Hills. The Highlanders were able to make move up by beating the Cubs 20-13.

Keegan Beineke was the best wideout in the league this week as Jennings County fell to New Albany. Beineke tallied 5 receptions for 46 yards. Dakota Bott helped Jennings County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 36 yards.

Bott was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 93 yards on 23 carries as the Panthers fell to the Bulldogs. Teammate Preston Teltow added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.

Kimm put up the best numbers through the air as Floyd Central topped Madison. Kimm's favorite target this week was Trevor Smith, who caught 2 passes for 47 yards.

Brian Glesing's team's Kimm and Austin Carl have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Hoosier Hills in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Kimm has thrown for 597 yards this season, while Carl has 9 catches for 188 yards. Tuwan Payton from New Albany leads the league in rushing with 807 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Patric Morrison's team takes on Jeffersonville. The Cubs are in fourth place, while the Red Devils are in first place.

Seymour lost to Columbus East 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
