Basketball Recap: Jaiden Hall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hammond Bishop Noll over Hanover Central

Hammond Bishop Noll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 68-51 bruising from the Hanover Central Wildcats. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaiden Hall, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Those 16 points gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ecrin Mart, who posted 16 points.

Hanover Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bridget Noel, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Noel has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sienna Antkiewicz, who went 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points.

Hammond Bishop Noll's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hanover Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hammond Bishop Noll will host Illiana Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hanover Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington Township at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
