Volleyball Recap: Father Tolton vs. California Pintos
Father Tolton suffered their biggest defeat since October 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the California Pintos, falling 3-0. Father Tolton hasn't had much luck with California recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: California scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.
Macie Reynolds paced Father Tolton's offense, picking up nine kills. Reynolds got some help from Ainsley Bukowsky and her 24 assists. Bukowsky was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
California can attribute much of their success to Amelia Motley, who had 15 digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Motley a new career-high.
Father Tolton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1.
Father Tolton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Smith-Cotton on the 8th. As for California, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Knob Noster on the 3rd.
