Basketball Recap: Jake Schutt Key Part of Team Effort in Friars Win

Servite won the last time they faced Trabuco Hills and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Friars were the clear victors by a 62-37 margin over the Mustangs. The Friars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 25 points or more this season.

Servite got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Schutt out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Carlos Galvan, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Servite was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trabuco Hills only racked up five.

Despite the loss, Trabuco Hills still got an impressive performance from Ryan Hull, who posted 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Servite and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Trabuco Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coincidentally, Servite and Trabuco Hills will both be playing Western the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Friars will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
