Softball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Midland can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Mansfield Legacy Broncos on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this game were averaging 2.72 runs allowed.

Midland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avrey Ochoa, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 29-7. As for Mansfield Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.

While Midland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
