Kreyton Wiese Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Wauneta-Palisade had to settle for second even though Kreyton Wiese put up the best numbers he has all season. Wiese rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (114.8). He is becoming a predictor of Wauneta-Palisade's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Wauneta-Palisade is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Wiese and Wauneta-Palisade will square off against Wallace at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Maddox Jones and Co. Win 18th in a Row
Sumner-Eddyville-Miller picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Maddox Jones. Jones did his part (and then some), rushing for 103 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries for the 'W'.
Paxton's probably not too fond of Jones given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Tigers), he rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns.

Southwest took down Wauneta-Palisade on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Jacob Barber's performance. Wauneta-Palisade had no answer to Barber as he rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 94 receiving yards.
On the year, Barber has averaged 33.8 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 5.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 77.5 rushing yards.

Jordan Scoville Goes Supernova in Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Victory
Sumner-Eddyville-Miller picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jordan Scoville. Scoville turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Scoville must have Paxton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Scoville rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Joe Eakins Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Joe Eakins of Paxton. Eakins rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.
For the year, Eakins has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 38.3 receiving yards per game.
