Recap: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. Blanchester Wildcats
The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Blanchester on the road by a decisive 80-63 margin. Felicity-Franklin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blanchester apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landen Forbes, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Caleb Ninichuck was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Felicity-Franklin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Blanchester, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Felicity-Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place and three for Felicity-Franklin. As for Blanchester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clermont Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clermont Northeastern is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
